Boulevard Limbert

Huge sluices still in activity are visible outside the ramparts at the place where the canal of Vaucluse enters the city and passes under the tower called "tour de Sorguette" or "du Saint-Esprit". This place is also called "the Pyramid". These hydraulic works allow to manage the water flow in case of flood or drought; they are managed by the "Syndicat mixte pour l'aménagement, la gestion et l'entretien du Canal de Vaucluse".
