Place Paoli

Place Pascal Paoli

The Paoli square, located in the heart of the city, stretches over an area of 6,750m². Dedicated to the founder of the city, this square was created from 1834, a year after the establishment of the project for the construction of the second city wall. Two fountains are located on the square: the one of the Four Spouts (with the bust of Pascal Paoli) and the one called the Pump, on the west side. The square is surrounded by remarkable buildings: the covered market, the Napoleon Hotel (former Piccioni Castle), the Institute of the Daughters of Mary and the Church of the Immaculate Conception.

Place Paoli is located right in the center of town. The square features two fountains: the Quatre becs fountain (with a bust of Pascal Paoli) and the Pompe fountain. Every day, the locals cheer on the boulistes.
