The Scalu tower is a general military fortification built around 1575. Struck by lightning in 1768, it was rebuilt by the French government, renovated by two meters, and used as a powder magazine. According to the chronicles of the abbot Martelli, at the beginning of the Second Empire, a public clock was installed there.
