Fontaine des Neuf Canons

Erected in 1651 by Laurent Vallon on the Cours Mirabeau, at the level of rue Joseph-Cabassol, the 9 Cannons Fountain is composed of two superimposed basins. Grâce à its low coping, it constituted époque a drinking trough for the sheep in transhumance from Arles to the Alps. This fountain was one of the last ones used for domestic purposes. It is registered as a historical monument since 1929.
