Adolphe Landry, born in Ajaccio on September 29, 1874 and died in Paris on August 28, 1956, was a French economist and politician. An economist, in 1901 he posed the problem of the quantum of capitalization necessary for wealth creation in line with the social interest. However, he is best known today for his demographic work. He was one of the proponents of ethical socialism. He ardently defended natalist ideas and the cause of families. Landry also pursued a political career. In 1946, he became Radical Senator for Corsica, a position he held until 1956. He was also mayor of Calvi from 1919 to 1956.
