Rue des Lices
Rue des Lices
This street evokes the first ramparts of the city in the 12th century. In medieval times, the lice is the space between the two walls. This is why this street has a curved shape. The water from the Sorgue, channeled under the name of Canal de Vaucluse, fed the moat at the foot of the walls.
