Cours Grandval
Château Conti
This Second Empire building is a pastiche of the neo-classical style, commissioned by Etienne Conti, Receiver General of Finances. The main facade, with a portico on each floor, is of Palladian inspiration. Each level is separated by thick cornices. The central part of the north and south facades has terraces with balusters and is punctuated with columns. Access to the interior of the building is controlled by doors set in semi-circular embrasures. A continuous bossing in plate, animates the south facade and the side walls in their first level. Classified as a historical monument since 1984.
