Fontaine du Cloître Saint-Louis

In the courtyard of the Saint-Louis cloister we find a "mossy fountain" surrounded by majestic plane trees. Over the centuries, the water deposited its limestone on a rock frame, creating strange shapes covered with moss and vegetation. Because of the more and more common droughts nowadays, this type of fountain is threatened. Indeed, humidity is essential to keep the moss alive on these vegetal sculptures where the original shape has been erased to make room for nature.
