Baigneuse se coiffant

Marcel Homs's "Bathing girl with her hair done", in Balloux Square, represents a nymph with aquatic forms that contrast with the harshness of the sandstone in which it is made. A student of Jean Boucher, the sculptor was entrusted by André Malraux in 1959 with the creation of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-arts in Abidjan.
