Pierre Corneille is a celebrated playwright for his horny dilemma plays. Author of Cid, Horace and Méd, he writes comedies and tragedies with great depth. A great French playwright of the 17th century, Pierre Corneille stood out from his contemporaries with a rich and modern thematic work. At first strongly inspired by comedy, he gradually slipped into tragedy, always with talent, grandeur, freedom and generosity. Pierre Corneille was born in Rouen on June 6, 1606 into a noble family. He was born to six children and studied at the Collège des Jésuites de Rouen. Brilliant student, he is passionate about the art of rhetoric and ancient themes. He obtained his diploma without difficulty and could now join the bar in the footsteps of his father and grandfather. However, the job does not fulfill him. His excessive shyness does not allow him to plead freely. He therefore left to devote himself to poetry and writing. He supports however his office until 1651.
