YOUR QUESTIONS

OUR ANSWERS

QRAvenue is a French service that tells the history of streets and monuments. A stainless steel QRPlaque engraved with a QR code is placed under the street sign or near the monument: by scanning it with their phone, visitors read and listen to the place’s sheet, in several languages, with no app to install.

The service is paid for once, with no subscription: 149 € per engraved QRPlaque. Setup (279 €) and content creation (39 € per sheet: writing, translation, voice) are free until the end of 2027. Each language beyond French, English and Spanish costs 379 €, and installation by our teams 225 € per plaque, from 20 plaques.

Municipalities can draw on public grants (DETR, DSIL, European funds, department, region) covering up to 80% of the project, depending on the case. The simulator on the Offers page calculates them for your municipality and prepares the grant application.

16 towns and sites are equipped, including Calvi, Corte, Marseille, Le Luc-en-Provence, Auriol, L’Île-Rousse and INSA Lyon. The full list is on the Towns page.

Sheets to read and listen to, a map of the plaques, guided tours, a treasure hunt and a mystery to solve on site, with a player leaderboard.

Municipalities, tourist offices, schools and universities, and businesses that want to showcase their heritage, campus or site, to residents and tourists alike.

No. For users, there is nothing to install or pay. For the municipality, the service is paid only once, with no subscription.

The content is available in English, French and Spanish. Other languages are available as an option.

Yes. Each sheet has an audio version, generated automatically in every language: visitors can listen to the history of the place without reading their screen.

All recent smartphones read QR codes from their camera. For older phones, you can download a free QR code reader app from the Apple Store or Google Play.

No. No registration is required to read a sheet, and audience measurement only takes place with the visitor’s consent. The game may ask for an email address, to keep points and rankings.

QRAvenue is designed and published in France by PROPAGATOM, in Marseille. The service is hosted in France.

Engraved stainless steel: they withstand the weather, and a plaque can be reassigned to another location from your account.

Using the interactive map listing all the QRPlaques, teachers can prepare themed trails to discover, for example, the famous painters or writers whose names line the streets.

The QRPlaques, yes; the users, no! You can enter the QRPlaques' geolocation either when creating the information sheets or riddles, or when installing the QRPlaques.

Absolutely! If your QRPlaque's location no longer seems relevant, you can move it and reprogram it from your account.

We recommend placing QRPlaques high up, between 2 m and 2.5 m, to prevent vandalism. In these conditions, the QR codes are sized for use by a pedestrian.

For good durability, we recommend using stainless steel screws and nylon or stainless steel spacers so that the QRPlaque is not in direct contact with the wall.

Absolutely. Simply fill in the information sheet for the monument.

Yes, for example you can create geocaching games by placing QRPlaques in hidden or unusual spots!
